Things You'll Need:
- First ensure your finance company allows lease transfers.
-
Step 1
The first step if you are looking to
offer your car lease for transfer is
to register on Switchtrader.com and choose one
of two listing plans:
(a) Standard Plan
(b) Premium Plan -
Step 2
Both seller and buyer communicate to
determine if there will be
common ground on the interests
and concerns related to the car
lease transfer. Questions can
include: "Is the information listed
in your advertising completely
accurate?", "Where is the vehicle
located?", "Will you split or absorb
the car lease transfer fee?", "Is
there a cash incentive involved?",
"Who will pay the transportation
cost from your state to mine?" -
Step 3
Once all questions and concerns
are answered the seller and
buyer are ready to move forward
with the transfer. The buyer then
submits to the application process
required by the lease seller's lease
finance company. Primarily the car
lease buyer will need to be deemed
credit worthy enough by the lease
finance company as a prerequisite
to assume a car lease. -
Step 4
Upon getting an approval from
the car lease lender
Switchtrader.com will have the
transfer documents sent to both
parties for signatures which are
required to complete the transfer.
These are original documents
promulgated by the car lease
lender and not by
Switchtrader.com. -
Step 5
The completed transfer
documents will then be sent to
the seller as well as to the buyer.
The buyer needs to take part of
these documents to the local
Department of Motor Vehicles to
pick up license plates and other
registration items. -
Step 6
the car lease obligation and the
car is now the responsibility of
the car lease buyer and that
completes the car lease transfer
transaction brokered by
Switchtrader.com.

on 1/25/2009 Transfer a lease can be a daunting process so choosing the right lease transfer website matters for peace of mind. Choosing one that recently jumped on board the lease transfer wagon can be dangerous. Try one that has been in business for a while (i.e. over 5 years). There many of them listed on google using keywords: lease transfer. One that has been in business since 2000 is TakeMyPayments.com Worth a try..
