Having a drawer that sticks is a common problem. The first thing that you need to determine is where it is sticking.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Each drawer has three parts to it that you should check, the front, the rear and the sides. When you are trying to close it, see where it seems to have the problem area so that you can focus on that area.
Step2
Check the glide, the glide is the area that the drawer is on which is typically plastic or wood. When you are trying to close the drawer see if it is having a problem on the glide which is usually in the center of the bottom and top or along the sides. It is what the drawer is sitting on.
Step3
Make sure there is nothing in the glides way taht is preventing the drawer from functioning correctly. When the glide becomes loose and creates a problem from allowing the drawer to work correctly. If it is loose then take the drawer all the way out and tighten up the glide securely.
Step4
With the drawer out of your dresser run a bar of soap or a candle (the wax) along the sides and area that it sits on the glide. This will help to "oil" the glide and help it work properly.
