How to Reset a Light After Replacing a Bulb

If you have replaced a lightbulb and it is not working, you may need to reset it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Step1
Replace the light bulb.
Step2
If the bulb is in the bathroom, the electrical outlet should have a reset button on it. Simply push the reset button and the light should now work.
Step3
If the bulb is in a room other than the bathroom, locate your circuit breaker. Identify the room where the bulb is located. Flip the switch and then flip it back. Viola, the bulb is reset!

Tips & Warnings

  • By reseting the circuit to a room, ALL electronics including clocks, etc in that room will be reset.
