Grapefruits are delicious treats that the whole family will enjoy. The following steps explain how to properly cut a grapefruit so that it can be easily eaten.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wash the outside of the grapefruit extensively.

  2. Step 2

Place on a cutting board with the two semi-flat ends facing out.

  3. Step 3

In one clean motion, cut the grapefruit in half, thus displaying the inside "triangles."

  4. Step 4

Like oranges, grapefruits have seeds and have small triangle-shaped divisions. Remove the seeds with a serrated knife and then cut along each line of each triangle.

  5. Step 5

After cutting along the lines of each triangle, cut along the outer edges of the grapefruit around the entire circle where the meat meets the grapefruit's fleshy shell.

  6. Step 6

Place cut grapefruit in a bowl, add some powered sugar to the top, and use a spoon to scoop out each deliciously nutritious triangle.
