Make crab cakes using lump crab meat, and frying them,

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1lb of lump crab meat
  • 2 tablespoons of mayonasie
  • 1 large eggs
  • small bunch of fresh parsly
  • saltine crackers (3)
  • seafood breading
  • 2 gallons of cooking oil
  • deep fryer to cook
  1. Step 1

    empty the crab meat into a large bowl, remove any shell you may find from the meat, do this gently so that the lumps are not disturbed, chop your parsley up so that you have approx. 1 tablespoon, add this to the crab meat, in a separate bowl, mix the egg with mayo, add to the crab meat, crush the crackers add this to mix also, and toss gently with your hands, just to get it all blended together,

  2. Step 2

    now scoop the meat mixture into your hands form into a ball about 1 inch, you should have enough for about 5-6 crab cakes, allow them to chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour,

  3. Step 3

    when ready, to cook, heat your deep fryer to 350 degrees, roll your crab meat in the seafood breading mix, lightly, drop into dip fryer slowly so as not to burn yourself fry for 5-10 mins, to the degree of brownness you prefer, drain well, and enjoy

Tips & Warnings
  • be very careful of the hot oil so as not to burn yourself, always cook out of the reach of small children,
