Wash your windows for a fraction of the cost of commercial cleaners by making your own. I use this all the time and believe this recipe works just as well or better then the kind you buy at the store. Leaves no steaks.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 cup of ammonia.
  • Couple small drops of detergent.
  • Medium sized spray bottles.
  • Bucket to mix.1 pint of rubbing alcohol.

Step1
In the bucket combine the ammonia with a few drops of detergent and mix.
Step2
Then pour in the rubbing alcohol.
Step3
Fill bucket with water until you make one gallon of liquid.
Step4
Carefully pour homemade cleaner in spay bottles.

on 6/18/2008 Wonderful tips! I love "do-it--yourself" household products. By "detergent", are you referring to liquid dish soap?
