Use that CD again.

If you have an erasable CD, you can erase the files from that disc and use it again. The files need to be on CD-RW disc to be erased. Standard CDs do not allow you to erase or reuse the CD.

  • CD-RW disc

Instructions

      Click "Start" and then click "My Computer." Alternatively, double-click "My Computer" from your desktop.

      Double-click your CD recording drive. A window displaying the files that are on the CD will pop up.

      Under "CD Writing Tasks," click "Erase this CD-RW."

    • 4

      The CD Writing Wizard will appear.

    • 5

      Use the wizard to delete any files on the disc.
