Yummy! Almost everyone loves pizza, and this recipe for backcountry pizza is sure to please. Makes enough pizza to feed 8 to 10 people.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Pizza Sauce to taste
  • Cheese to taste
  • Toppings to taste
  • Olive Oil
  • Camping Stove
  • Pan
  1. Step 1

Mix yeast and water and let sit someplace warm for 45 minutes. Add flour until a doughy consistency is achieved. Let rise for 1 hour. Pound down.

  2. Step 2

Make individual pizzas by ripping off small rounds of dough and rolling them very thin. Spread olive oil in pan and cook dough on both sides until crispy. Spread pizza sauce, cheese and toppings over the crust. Cook until cheese melts. Should take about 10 minutes a pizza.

  3. Step 3

Serve with salad and garlic bread. If there is extra dough left over you can use it to make cinnamon rolls in the morning.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with making the dough at least once at home before bringing the recipe out into the backcountry.
