IPods are one of the most popular gadgets in the world, and they are quite expensive. Protect your iPod from being scratched with these simple steps.

From Quick Guide: Apple iPod Troubleshooting
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Protect Your Ipod With a Case

  1. Step 1

Go to your local Apple store and pick from the collection of cases they have to offer for various ipods. The cases vary from rubber to plastic, but all are specifically designed to hold an ipod. To find your nearest apple store, go to apple.com

  2. Step 2

Visit Radio Shack, Circuit City, or Bestbuy to find generic cases for slightly cheaper. These cases will not be as durable as the those you might find at the Apple store, but they won't cost as much either.

  3. Step 3

Remove your Ipod from its case from time to time and clean out the inside. Dust and debris will get between the case and the Ipod and can cause scratching and damage.

  4. Step 4

Keep your Ipod out of hot cars, and out of freezing temperatures. The best way to keep your Ipod protected is to keep it away from extreme temperatures.

  5. Protect Your Ipod with Invisible Shield

  6. Step 1

Visit the Invisible Shield website (see Resources below).

  7. Step 2

Select your specific type of iPod from the drop-down menu on the left side.

  8. Step 3

Place an order for the proper Invisible Shield.

  9. Step 4

When the Invisible Shield arrives, set aside roughly 30 minutes to carefully read the included instructions and attach the shield to your iPod. Attaching the shield to the iPod is not the easiest thing and can be quite frustrating.

Tips & Warnings
  • Once it is on, the iPod will never get scratched, and the Shield has a lifetime guarantee.
