Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pair of plain, knit gloves
  • One or more varieties of textured fuzzy or furry yarn
  • Small crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Using the crochet hook and the fuzzy yarn, start a simple crochet chain stitch. Keep making chain stitches until the chain reaches a length of five times the circumference of the cuff or band of your glove. For example, for a glove with a 6-inch band, make a 30-inch length of chained yarn.

  2. Step 2

Thread the yarn needle with a short piece of yarn. Make a small stitch in the upper band of the glove (don't pull the yarn all the way through). Sew through the end of the chain. Tie the ends of the stitching yarn together in a double knot on the right side of the glove. Trim the ends. They will blend in with the fur or fuzz of the yarn.

  3. Step 3

Measure out 1 inch of chain from the point where it is attached. Sew the end of the 1 inch section to the glove band just 1/4 of an inch away from the first stitching. Follow the directions in Step 2 to sew and attach the chain to the glove.

  4. Step 4

Continue Step 3 all around the glove. You will have a series of 1-inch loops all the way around the band. Attach the end of the yarn next to the beginning of the loops.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try variegated colored yarn for a multi-colored effect.
  • Use yarn with as long of a hair or fuzz as possible for the best results.
  • Sew the trim right where the band meets the glove.
