1
Hand out invitations to your guests a few weeks in advance. For added flair, select a Greek font for your invitations, print them on distressed paper and roll them up into scrolls.
-
2
Encourage guests to dress up in Greek garb such as togas, which can be made at home using white sheets. Accessorize with an ivy leaf crown.

-
3
Prepare Greek foods for your party. Serve a variety of finger foods if you would like a buffet-style set-up, such as hummus, baba ganoush, pita chips, falafel and kebabs. If you prefer a sit-down dinner, you could serve a Mediterranean salad to start, a Greek spiced lamb leg for the main course, couscous on the side and baklava for dessert.
-
4
Prepare cocktails using ouzo, a Greek liquor. Try substituting ouzo for the vodka in many traditional cocktail recipes such as cosmopolitans, screwdrivers and martinis. For guests who would prefer a milder drink option, you can also offer Greek wines.
-
5
Set up Greek-themed decorations. Consider the clean architectural design of Greek buildings when choosing your decorations. Stick to a simple white color scheme with white table cloths and napkins, as well as white pillars, which can be purchased at many craft and hobby stores. Accessorize with grapes and ivy leaves, which can be spray painted gold if desired. You can also use fruit -- real or fake -- as centerpieces.
-
6
Plan Greek-themed activities. One idea is to host a party Olympics that has guests competing in a variety of events for gold, silver and bronze medals. Event ideas include bobbing for apples and limbo. For a more relaxed evening, screen Greek-themed movies such as "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Spartacus" or "Animal House," which will have everyone shouting "Toga! Toga! Toga!"
