Modern Art History is a bit difficult to study because towards the last page of a Modern Art History book it is a toss up if the artist will even stay in the book in years to come....I always choose 2 or 3 favourites to focus on and buy extra books devoted to that one particular artist....Here is a How to going about the study my way...

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Modern Art History Book
  • Books on other artists such a Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, and Pablo Picasso

Step1
For Modern Art it is very important to write the Artist's name down. From there you can add tid-bits of facts that may be relevant...
Step2
Map out 3 favourite artists to focus on because you may be asked general questions about an artist and you will always have an answer from your studies...And if the professor asks you to write a report on an artist you will be properly prepared.
Step3
Frida Kahlo. I was exposed to her long before the movie about her life was released and I didn't go see it because I knew so much her life I would be picking the imperfections the whole time....But is a great thing to read an intimate novel about the artist and their work. I always found Frida Kahlo a piece of art in herself......
Step4
Salvador Dali. I was able to go see the Salvador Dali Museum in Florida that had mammoth wall-sized surrel paintings that just made your head spin and wander...It was way better than going to a movie...
I got to see the Original "Persistence of Memory" his most famous surreal master piece....
Step5
Pablo Picasso. Picasso is synominous for being the King of Modern Art... What can I say about such a talented and prolific artist? His art speaks for himself...seeing "Demousells D'Avignon" (meaning The ladies of Avignon St.) and this particular painting is the turning point of Picasso's creation of the modern art style- Cubism... For those that like cubism or Picasso yo0u can see this painting at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City...
