When listing clothing for sale on ebay, you can sell more and at higher prices if you take just a few extra steps when listing your items. Here I will give a brief overview on how to get started selling clothing on eBay. For more information on making big money through eBay, see the link in the resources box below article.
Step2
The first step is to take time on the title of your listing. Use descriptive words like DRESSY, SEXY, HOT, CLASSY, TRENDY, etc., to grab the viewers attention. Also, use the "Gallery Photo" if you can. The extra .25/.35 is worth getting two to three times the views of a listing without a picture on the results page!
Step3
List as much information about the item as possible. The Brand, the size, style, etc. Also, measure and list the actual width of the waist, the rise (from crotch to waist) and the inseam of the leg (from crotch to bottom of leg). This helps because now the bidder doesn't have to take the extra step to ask about an actual measurement, giving you better odds of bids on your items.
Step4
Take Advantage of the free listing tools in the description area. Use LARGE Font, around 14 pt. Also use BOLD Lettering on key points, also try underlining some items and italics on others. If you are have multiple listings, refer them to your other items and offer combined shipping discounts (LIST THIS INFO IN THE DESCRIPTION AREA). See my listings for examples (see resources box below) of using the description options to get more bids.
Step5
Start bidding low. I usually start my items at $1.99. This gets bids started earlier and will bring higher bids in the end. *See Link Below For More Great eBay ideas!
Tips & Warnings
Make sure all items are clean and wrinkle-free before taking photos and listing items. This will also get more bids.
