After you have successfully secured a date, holding hands is often the next major step in the right direction. Sometimes it might not be clear as to whether your date really likes you, so it might not be a bad idea to wait to hold hands until your second or third date, unless you two really click with each other or you know each other very well. Making a move to hold hands in a movie theater is probably one of the easiest ways to do so.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A date
  • A movie theater
  • Confidence!
  1. Step 1

See a comedy or romantic comedy. A horror film does not set the stage for a romantic night.

  2. Step 2

Make sure to get to the movie 15 or 20 minutes before it starts. This will let the two of you talk for a few minutes.

  3. Step 3

Sit near the back of the theater. It's dark back there and relatively quiet. She will get the idea.

  4. Step 4

The palm reading method: Before the movie, ask her if you can see her hand, and begin reading the lines on her palm. You might want to look up how to read palms (also known as chiromancy) so you can impress her by what you know. You can tell her "Your heart line is very thick, you must be thinking of someone special!" This will hint at the attraction between the two of you. Now that your hand is holding the back of her hand, proceed to hold her hand permanently.

  5. Step 5

The "don't bite your nails" method: During the movie your date might start biting her nails do to the suspense in the movie. I'm not saying that all girls do. So hopefully during the movie there will be a really intense part where she is nervous and starts biting her nails. If the hand she is biting is closest to you, whisper "don't bite your nails," while you simultaneously grab her hand.

  6. Step 6

Now that you have broken the touch barrier, it is much easier to move on to putting your arm around her shoulder, among other things.

Tips & Warnings
  • Smell good
  • Make sure your hands are not sweaty
  • Send positive body language, lean towards her.
  • Have good breath
  • Hold her hand as you leave the theater.
  • DO NOT see a horror flick.
