Things You'll Need:
- Computer w/Internet or TV w/DVD Player
-
Step 1
First of all, START WITH SEASON 1. It is worth it. Don't just jump into it, the show is an experience and you need to start from the beginning.
-
Step 2
You can buy Season 1-3 anywhere that sells DVD's. You can also watch every episode for free at ABC.com -- with 30 second commercials every 15 minutes or so. You can also google "free lost episodes" and probably find a site that streams the episodes for free -- without commercial interruption, but ABC.com is probably you're best bet.
It is worth it to buy the Seasons though, the Special Features are fun and something you'll want to watch. -
Step 3
Get into it! There are web sites dedicated to what is happening and guessing what is going to happen. You may want to catch up completely before you look at all the theories, just in case there are spoilers!
-
Step 4
Enjoy the ride! Don't get frustrated that you don't know something, and just wait to see what happens next! The writers have created a masterful show and know exactly where they are going with it.

on 12/25/2008 I've been going thru the seasons in preparation for the new one. Kate and Sawyer just escaped after Jack operated on Ben.

on 6/24/2008 You are SO right on with this blog! My son introduced me to Lost after Christmas this year (I hadn't even heard of it--I don't watch too much tv since most of it is garbage). I watched DVDs of all 3 seasons in 3 months--then started on Season 4 on tv...I have never, ever been hooked like this on a tv show before. It is easily the best show I've ever seen on TV. The best part about having the DVDs is you don't have to wait a week or more to see the next show. The bad part is that you get very little sleep! Season 4 was rough because I had to wait to see the next episode. :)
