Cell phones are used all the time - while shopping, in toilets, while eating, while coughing, we even pass it to other people, friends, family members, etc. We wash and disinfect our hands but don't do the same with the phones/cell phones we use all the time.

Remember: Never immerse a phone in liquids, but keep it dry at all times. Before cleaning it, open the battery casing and remove the battery, just to be safe.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Turn off the phone and remove the battery.

  2. Step 2

Soak the cotton ball in the rubbing alcohol, then remove excess liquid - leave it damp.

  3. Step 3

Gently rub the phone's surface: display, keypad, the exterior, the antenna, etc.

  4. Step 4

If needed, repeat step 2 with a new cotton ball and then repeat step 3.

  5. Step 5

Let the phone dry completely and then replace the battery, put the cap on the battery casing, start the phone and you're good to go.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you squeeze the cotton ball to remove excess liquid (in this case, rubbing alcohol).
  • Avoid getting cell phones wet!
