My article is about overcoming obstacles such as sadness, depression, feelings of loneliness and loss of hope.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a good friend,music,candles,meditation,chinese food,a funny movie
  1. Step 1

The first step to overcoming depression, sadness, or loss of hope is to meditate. Clear your mind of everything. You cannot overcome these sad feelings and feelings of "gloom" if you keep thinking only about "Me,Me,Me!" No thoughts of yourself whatsoever. You must envision floating on an empty, calm ocean or sitting in a peaceful, sunny open field. Yes, Buddhist-like if I may say so myself. Be wary of your breathing. Are you taking nice, deep slow breaths in and out? Imagine all negative thoughts just flowing out of you effortlessly. Picture only good vibes and good thoughts flowing into your soul and mind and heart. butterflies are carrying them to you. Your aura accepts them and guards them. You are safe and happy. You are at one with the universe. Remeber the universe actually does have both negative and positive electricity. (Remember the words: Ying and Yang)?

  2. Step 2
    Imagine

    Imagine

Talk with a good friend. I don't mean somebody who will get drunk or wasted with you. I mean a friend who won't pull any punches and will actually tell you his true feelings about your situation. Someone who is loving a positive life and who is "about something". You know the friend I mean.

  3. Step 3

Music, music, music! Listen to some healthy, happy and uplifting music. As we all know music "soothes the savage beast". So imagine what it can do for the savage human? Listen to some songs you love that make you feel good. Not the songs that get you angry and/or upset and sad and make you feel sorry for yourself. Songs that make you want to go outside, look up and down the street, and say, "I'm going to be OK!" Oh yes...remember to drink plenty of water too!
