Step 1
Sell your lowest ranking cards (except for zero cards) as you progress through each floor and replace them with higher ranking ones. By the time you hit the fourth and fifth floors, you should not have any cards ranked lower than four, except for zero cards. By the tenth floor, your deck should consist of only eight, nine and zero cards.
-
Step 2
Save magic cards for sleights (except for Cure cards). You may have liked using magic a lot in the first game, but it will more likely than not be a hindrance in Chain of Memories, especially when fighting bosses. Add magic cards to your deck when you learn specific, damaging sleights.
-
Step 3
Arrange your deck so that every seventh card is a Cure card. For some bosses, you may want to have a Cure card as the first card so you can tuck it away for a Curaga sleight. As the bosses get more difficult, you will want to have at least five or six Cure cards in your hand.
-
Step 4
Do not load up your deck with enemy cards. Enemy cards take up precious CP (Card Points), which will cause you to have to reload your deck more often. Save enemy cards for specific bosses. (Hint, hint: Marluxia)
-
Step 5
End your deck with a high-numbered Potion or Hi-Potion card to quickly reload your attack cards. This will save you from having to manually reload your cards, which leaves you vulnerable to attack.
-
Step 6
Keep a zero card at the beginning of your deck starting at the tenth floor, and scroll by it (press the L button) to save it for later use in battle. When you need to quickly break a devastating attack, press the R button to quickly access it.
-
Step 7
Boost Sora's CP twice for every HP boost when leveling up. Sparingly learn a new sleight. High CP will mean more cards for your deck, which means fewer reloads and more attacks.
