Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • An SMS 2003 Infrastructure

Step1
Make sure the package has been deployed to distribution points and is available to clients.
Step2
Check the distribution point (DP) to make sure BITS is enabled. Also check to see that the DP web site is functioning properly.
Step3
Check your SMS 2003 site boundaries. A client is often located in an IP Subnet which is not configured within Site or Roaming Boundaries.
Step4
Finally, check the client logs, starting with the cas.log and execmgr.log.
