Step1
Research which Disney resorts fit your budget and taste. There are budget hotels, as well as moderate and luxury resorts. All Disney resorts are specially themed and will appeal to different ages and types of people.
Step2
If one member of your family loves music and movies, check out Disney's All-Star Movies Resort or Disney's All-Star Music Resort. Or, consider the Pop Century Resort, which encompasses all things Hollywood and Americana. The good news is, all of these resorts are budget choices, so saving money is inevitable.
Step3
If you want to feel like you've escaped to a tropical paradise, consider Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. It has the makings of an island in the Bahamas on its sprawled out property. This resort is a moderate resort, so you can save and still enjoy some fun amenities. If you don't mind spending a little more for a taste of the tropics, check out Disney's Polynesian Resort. The property is stunning, with a calming man-made beach and beautiful pool area.
Step4
If you want a taste of the Old West, take a trip to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. You'll get to vacation in a country-themed resort in the woods, but with an added sense of luxury. If you really want to rough it, head down to Disney's Ft. Wilderness campground, where you can park an RV and enjoy nature.
Step5
If you and your family love history and geography, consider Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. It's a beautiful Southwestern-themed resort with a unique Mayan pyramid pool area. Or, head down to Disney's Port Orleans Riverside or French Quarter to get a taste of New Orleans in all its glory.
Step6
If you don't want to sacrifice comfort and luxury, the Contemporary Resort is your best choice. Lavish yourself with structural beauty and fine dining as you enjoy the most modern-themed resort on resort property.
Step7
If you love the beach and boardwalks, check out Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Stroll along the beautiful boardwalk and take in the wafting scent of cotton candy and popcorn. Stop in a candy shop, play in an arcade, or dance the night away in a dueling piano bar.
Step8
If you love classy and elegant American-themed accommodations, consider the Grand Floridian Beach Resort. It's reminiscent of a 1940s beach resort and you'll love the nostalgia. Or, check out Saratoga Springs Resort for a taste of upstate New York, complete with all things equestrian.
Step9
If you prefer a country club-like setting, head on over to Disney's Old Key West. It's by far the most "vacation-home" setting and you'll really love feeling like you've escaped the world here.
Step10
If animals are your thing, go to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You'll vacation in an African savannah meets luxury. You'll also be able to enjoy regional cuisine and fine wine. This is one of the most rustic, culturally-themed resorts on Disney property.
