Things You'll Need:
- Shopping bags or small suitcase
- Old clothes
-
Step 1
Clean out your closet. Pull out the clothes and shoes you don't want. Remember that you're selling these clothes, so they must be clean and in perfect or near perfect condition. Clothes with designer labels or in-season designs will sell the fastest. If you are a fashionista who won't wear the same dress twice, this is a great way to make money.
-
Step 2
Place clothes in a shopping bag or small suitcase. Make sure clothes are clean and presentable.
-
Step 3
Head to Buffalo Exchange on La Brea Avenue or Kinross Avenue. Take your clothing to the sellers counter. An employee will go through your clothes and choose which pieces they think will sell.
-
Step 4
Take your designer and fashionable clothing to Crossroads Trading Company on Melrose Avenue or Santa Monica Boulevard.Employees will sift through your items and buy the clothing that they want to sell in the store. Crossroads pays 35 percent of the original price.
-
Step 5
Take your high-end garments to Rodeo Drive Resale. This consignment shop only accepts high-end, name brand garments like Gucci and Prada.
-
Step 6
Take your clothes to AuctionDepotLA in Culver City. Employees will sell your items on eBay after you drop them off.
