Any day there are a number of different activities and events going on in your city. However, it may be difficult for you to attend many of these events if you are living on a budget. Here's how to find free or cheap events in your area.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Search the Internet. The Internet can be a great resource for finding events in your area, especially if you log on to a site that caters to this.

  2. Step 2

Check out your newspaper. Many times newspapers will print a list of events going on for the weekend or even throughout the week. Knowing when and where to look can be the key between staying home and being bored versus going out and having a great time.

  3. Step 3

Listen to the radio. Many radio stations broadcast from live locations in your city when major events and activities are occuring. By simply listening along you can find out where the hot spot is and take advantage of it.

  4. Step 4

Talk to friends, family and neighbors. The best way to advertise is through word of mouth, which is why it is easy for you to find local events for free or cheap in your area.
