Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- A winning attitude
- Determination
- An open mind
- A love for whatever it is you are promoting
Step1
Get involved! Get involved with an organization that offers something that you care about. I am involved with a health and wellness product that I am TRULY passionate about. I use it, my family and friends use it, and we've all seen the benefits. If you don't love what you are promoting or don't believe in it, you will not get anyone else to either.
Step2
Many Network Marketing opportunities are team-based. Get on a team that is out to help you SUCCEED. My mantra is, "Your success is my success." Nothing would make me happier for someone I am working with to do better than me. Make sure your "sponsor" can offer you the time and resources necessary for you to achieve your goals.
Step3
Set realistic goals. Don't believe those that say you can make $X in a short amount of time. Network Marketing is a self-paced industry: you can go as fast or as slow as you want. How quickly you make money, and enough to reach your goals, is completely up to you! Once you set your goals, make a plan as to how you will achieve them.
Step4
Once you move up in the organization/make some money it will be your turn to be a role model to someone else. Try to be the best mentor possible as they will emulate you when it is their turn. This will allow you to build the best team possible. With these steps, you will see both the intrinsic and financial success that I have!
Step5
Don't push yourself onto people. I am lucky in that what I promote can be brought up in normal conversation. Be able to read the people to see what kind of "sales" approach they may be interested in. Know when to take a step back.

on 7/22/2008 Excellent advice. My wife and I are Independent Distributors for an outstanding nutritional product that has changed our health tremendously. We're fairly new, so we haven't made much money yet, but I would use this product even if we never made a penny on it.

on 5/28/2008 This is really good advice... I've hesitated to get involved in such programs, because I didn't know how to recruit.
