Growing a garden can be a rewarding experience, yet it can be ruined if certain pests or animals take it over. Here's how to keep animals out of your garden.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Limit your pet's area of the garden. Keeping your pets out of your garden is important. You can do this by teaching them not to go in that area of your yard.
Step2
Install a mesh fence or chicken wire. Putting up chicken wire or a mesh fence can prevent many animals from entering your garden area. This protects your vegetables.
Step3
Spray chemicals that offend animals. Your local garden center provides several different pesticides and insecticides that you can apply to your garden to keep animals and insects out.
Step4
Change what you plant. If you are still having trouble keeping animals out of your garden area, it may be worth your time and trouble to consider planting something else. Certain things, such as corn, attract animals such as squirrels that not only reek havoc on your corn but on other vegetables as well.
