Spring brings the promise of new life, and it is during this time that you need to reach out to the elderly. It is especially important since they have been trapped inside all winter. Here's how to reach out to the elderly during spring.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take them to a public outdoor area. Elderly citizens often have trouble getting out and about, especially to locations they are unfamiliar with or are not in their neighborhood. You can reach out to them and help them by taking them to parks and other public areas in your city.

  2. Step 2

Visit the zoo or botanical garden. A great way to get the elderly outside enjoying the spring weather and the new life that is generated during spring is to visit the zoo or a botanical garden. Baby animals and flowers can really brighten them up.

  3. Step 3

Help them spruce up the outdoors. Spring brings a lot of people outside to work on their yard and garden. You can significantly improve an elderly person's house and perspective on life by planting flowers and other items.

  4. Step 4

Help them clean out their house. During the year many things often get accumulated and clutter the house of an elderly person. You can help them during the spring by helping them clean out their house.
