Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3 x 14oz cans peach halves in natural juice,drained but reserving 7fl oz of juice.
  • 3 pieces preserve ginger in syrup,drained and finely chopped.
  • 3 oz all-purpose flour
  • 3 oz roasted chopped hazelnuts.
  • 5tbsp soft light brown sugar.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 oz butter,cubed.
Step1
Preheat the oven at (400faranheit/200celsius).Arrange the peaches, cut-side up, in a 12in x 10in over-proof dish. Sprinkle with the ginger. Boil the reserve juice in saucepan for 5 minutes or until reduced by 1/3.Pour over the peaches.
Step2
In a large bowl, mix together the flour,hazelnuts,sugar and cinnamon.
Rub in the butter with the tips of your finger until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Step3
Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit and cook for 30-35 minutes, until browned.

Tips & Warnings

  • you could replace peaches with any other fruit of your desire, personally i prefer mango.
  • served with vanilla ice cream.
  • safety first, hot liquids
