How to Make Christmas Cards with Postage Stamps

Collecting used postage stamps is a lot of fun, but turning them into Christmas cards is even more fun.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Used postage stamps
  • Card stock
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Gold star
  • Christmas tree pattern
  • Pencil
  • Decorative paper
  1. Step 1

    Trace Christmas tree pattern onto white card stock and cut it out.

  2. Step 2

    Cut a piece of colored card stock that measures 81/2”L X 51/2”W.

  3. Step 3

    Fold piece in half.

  4. Step 4

    Cut a piece of decorative paper to measure 5”L X 318”W.

  5. Step 5

    Glue decorative paper to the front of the card.

  6. Step 6

    Glue Christmas tree pattern onto decorative paper.

  7. Step 7

    Choose a stamp such as a flower, fruit, flag or locomotion and glue it in the center of the tree and one at the base of the tree.

  8. Step 8

    Cut the other stamps in half or whatever size you need to fill in the rest of the tree.

  9. Step 9

    Top the tree with a gold star.

  10. Step 10

    Write a Christmas greeting inside the card.

Tips & Warnings
  • To remove stamps from envelopes, place them in water and allow to soak until stamps come off of paper on their own. Remove from water and air dry on a hard surface.
  • Used stamps can also be purchased at craft stores.
