You have to start with the basics, I will be writing other articles for specific tricks, tell me if you like my explaining on things to keep them as best as possible
skateboarding is surprisingly hard, if you would really like to get good it takes time, which is why it is better to start early. FIRST is riding.
Step2
You should place your front foot on the front of the board, around the screw area. if goofy, this would be your right foot, regular would be the left.
Step3
this is a great photo demonstration
You will keep you wait on this foot when trying to push off. Keep it on the board when you are trying to push. Use the other foot to push forwards, propelling you in that direction. start out by pushing VERY easy to get the feel for things
Step4
you will turn by shifting your weight either to the right or left of the board, sort of like leaning, you have to play around to figure this out, sorry.
Tips & Warnings
even if you think it will be easy wear protective gear because the balancing is ALWAYS hard to get used to
you can be hurt skateboarding so use extreme cautiong

Wuts up bro,
da names Reiko I'm 26 yrs old from Arlington, Tx I've been skating almost a month with no lessons and just found this site. I'm trying to bond with my stepson who loves this he is 13 and not very good. I would love nothing more than to be able to teach him a thing or two so any pointers you have would be great. I never knew the things in your how to article. please feel free to give advise I would really be thankful.
