this is the method that I was taught and have been using, it works great for me and I hope it works just as well for you. Keep your car just like NEW.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • car soap
  • a microfiber glove
  • a hose with access to water
  • a towel

Step1
Rinse the entire car off. Be sure to start with the top and spray down the lines of the car. Washing from roof to side skirts, etc.
Step2
next pour the directed amount of soap into your bucket ( usually on the back of bottle). Then add enough water to where the soap reaches the top of the bucket, don't be wasteful just wait until you need to add more water as you go.
Step3
make sure to clean the car in sections. apply soap by soaking the glove in the water, then wiping in a circular motion on the roof of the car. then lift the windshield wipers and move down the windshield and hood.
Step4
next are the windows and sides of the car. you will first rinse, from top to bottom, ALL of the soap off the car. Then rinse out the glove and apply more soap to the (starting at the top and moving down) windows, then move from front of the car to the back as you are also going down. that may sound confusing, but as you move down "levels" you will simply wash from front to back. make sure to rinse off. DONT DO WHEELS!!
Step5
repeat on the other side. afterwards you can move to the back of the car. you should again start at the top, rear windshield then working your way down the bumper.
Step6
if you haven't done the front bumper now is the time. then on to the wheels. you may buy special wheel shine to make them cleaner but if not the you will just make sure to use an extra towel to dip in the soap and clean them with. try to get into all the groves because you wouldn't believe how they stick out to some people.
Step7
last is drying. follow the same methods for washing for drying, just instead use the clean bath towel and wipe the car down. this is great for keeping off water spots and getting that extra dirt off.

Tips & Warnings

  • whenever wiping, washing or drying, always use a circular motion.
  • don't leave soap on the car for to long, some can damage paint.
  • dry wiping the car down is always better than just driving around, air dry
