Step 1
Recycle as much as possible. Get to know what can and cannot be recycled in your area. Each Waste Management has different regulations, and so takes a few minutes to learn what they are.

Use cloth napkins instead of paper. This is a step that is easy to put into practice. By doing this it can make your dinner time feel more special. Just think about that make you and your family feel special while saving the planet.

Compost as much as you can. By composting you will put less into your garbage, but you will be help your flowers and vegetables grow better next summer. By doing a little research on the internet as to what can be composted along with how you could gardening organically next growing season. Here is an example, egg shells can be composted, but must be washed out before going into the compost pile. One of the biggest things not to do is, don’t put any meat waste into your compost pile.

Step 4
Try to do organic gardening. This is a great way to save money along with using natural kitchen waste. By doing this it could cut down on your grocery bill.

Use non-chemical cleaning products. This will give you and your family a health environment to live in. When you first change over to these products you may think you are spending more money, but in the long run you will be saving. The studies show that there are so many wonderful benefits to cleaning your home with non-chemical cleaning products.

Check your thermostat. Take a few minutes to turn down your thermostat during the winter months. This will save you money during the cold winter months of the year. While during the summer months, turn the thermostat up on the air conditioner.
