Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  1. Step 1

    Line baking sheet with foil. Butter foil. Set baking sheet aside.

  2. Step 2

    In heavy 10-inch skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter over medium heat, stir in 1/2 cup sugar. Add 1 1/2 cups pecan halves. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, 4 to 5 minutes or until sugar melts and turns rich, golden brown.

  3. Step 3

    Remove skillet from heat. Spread pecan mixture onto prepared baking sheet.

  4. Step 4

    Cool completely. Break pecan mixture into small pieces. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
