Soemtimes while out hiking or other outdoor activities we injury our wrist but it is not always life threatening. With a few simple items we can make a splint and have it ok till we are able to amke it to the doctor or hospital.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • two stiff items (such as small boards)
  • bandage

Step1
First you will want to place the wrist in the item that will provide support to the wrist. You can use small boards or sticks, or you can use softer material as long as it will keep the wrist straight and provide support to it.
Step2
The bandage needs to be wrapped around the wrist. You will need to do this by wrappinf it in a figure 8 motion. This will keep the support items in place so that they do not slip. The bandage will also provide additional support. Make sure you have some type of clip or tape to make the bandage stay in place.
Step3
Once you are able go to the doctor or to the hospital and have someone do a splint for you. This way you will know for sure if you need a splint or a brace or even a cast.
