Things You'll Need:
- Time Crisis 4 and 1-2 Guncon 3 Controllers
-
Step 1
Get the game. It costs around $80 with tax, but you get the light gun and the game. If you want a second controller to play Arcade Mode, online is your best bet; Bandai and Namco do not currently offer standalone Guncon 3 Controllers. If you’re lucky, you can get 2 Guncon 3s and Time Crisis 4 for around $100.
-
Step 2
Stay behind cover. This was key to the Arcade version of the game, and is still key to your survival in the Campaign. Cover not only keeps you from getting shot, it buys you the time you need to reload, switch weapons and regain your health.
-
Step 3
Reload often. The last thing you want is to run into a nest of bad guys with only half a clip in your gun. Unlike other first-person shooters, switching to your Knife in Time Crisis 4 will probably take longer than reloading, so make sure you go into action with a full magazine.
-
Step 4
Watch out for the odd-colored bad guys. These were probably the bane of your existence in the Arcade version, and they will be here too. Even though they throw knives and grenades, they still manage to hit you more often than bullets. Take them out as quickly as possible before they tick away at your life.
-
Step 5
Remember that you’ve got four different guns to use. In the Campaign, you’ll have a few more, but in Arcade mode you get the handgun, machine gun, shotgun and grenade launcher. Each has a different use depending on your situation, so try not to waste ammunition. The only ammo that will be even somewhat common is handgun, machinegun and sometimes shotgun.
