Step 1
Select photographs for your scrapbook. You can create a theme or tell a story. Don't worry about ruining your favorite photos by cutting them as digital scrapbooks do not require you to cut any photos.
-
Step 2
Select background papers and colorful mats for your that you want to use for your digital scrapbook. While you may need to cut some of these papers to frame your images perfectly, you should remember that you can use these background and framing papers again and again when making digital scrapbooks.
-
Step 3
Layout your photos, background papers in the way that you want them in your scrapbook. This step is very similar to regular scrap-booking. The only difference is that you are making temporary scrapbook pages, and will not be permanently cutting or sticking items to pages.

Step 4
Image by A.HermittBegin scanning your images into your computer. I like to scan each image into the computer along with the framing I have chosen for it. In some cases though where you want to cut the photo, you may want to scan the photo separately and then crop it using your computer imaging software before adding a separate digital frame.
-
Step 5
When all of your images are scanned into your computer, you can organize and re-arrange your photos in your scrapbook, as well as re-size them as needed. You can put as few or as many images as you want onto each page, and you can also type captions in whatever font or color that you want.
-
Step 6
Print your scrapbook pages and compile them into a book for our friends and family. If you like, you can use online services that will print and put your scrapbook into professional binding.
