How to Connect With Other Paranormal Enthusiasts

Special interests and hobbies are fun, but depending on where you live, you may be one of few people that hold that interest. It's even more difficult for paranormal enthusiasts due to the potential stigma against them. Whether you are just mildly interested in ghosts, or have been doing research on lore and mythology for years, finding people who share your passion is much easier due to the internet. Here are a few places to look to meet new friends with spiritual interests.

1. Join the National Ghost Hunters society. This is a great site with lots of information of the paranormal nature and includes a link to a Spirit Forum where you can get readings or just interact with other ghost hunters and enthusiasts. See link below under "Resources."
2. Search on the Internet for a local ghost hunting or paranormal group. They often hold open meetings monthly where you can meet and get to know other people who share your interests. This is a great way to meet new people and get the chance to go on ghost hunting outings.
3. Go to a conference or convention. For example, there is a mid-south paranormal convention and a "Scarefest" in February. Chicago and Louisville both host conventions annually. Do an internet search to find nearby programs and conventions and mark your calendar!
4. Finally, find local paranormal enthusiasts by checking out local metaphysical or psychic shops. They usually host psychic reading weekends where you can meet other people who share your beliefs.
