Teachers have very rewarding jobs. Being a teacher is also quite stressful at times. Why not surprise your child's teacher with a gift of appreciation? Here are things you might include in a "Teacher's Survival Kit" that should give her both a smile and a sense of accomplishment.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Mounds candy bar
  • Toothpick
  • Marbles
  • Gemstone
  • Pay Day candy bar
  • SKOR candy bar
  • Eraser
  • Balloon
  • Tissue
  • Star sticker

Step1
Simply add the items listed below, along with a typed up sheet of each item's meaning, into a mug or pencil holder to give to a teacher.
Step2
Mounds candy bar: For the MOUNDS of paperwork that you go through every week.
Toothpick: So you can "pick" out the good qualities in your students.
Step3
Marbles: To replace the ones that you lost while teaching this week. Gemstone: Because you are a precious jewel to our children.
Step4
Pay Day candy bar: Something that makes teaching a joy.
SKOR candy bar: For all the tests you have to grade.
Step5
Eraser: To remind you that students do make mistakes.
Balloon: To remind you not to blow up at your students.
Step6
Tissue: To dry the tears after a hard day.
Star: To remind you to always do your best.

Tips & Warnings

  • Teacher survival kits are especially nice for new teachers.
  • Remember your child's teacher on holidays and testing times of the year.
