How to Install a Module in Miva Merchant

Miva Merchant is an ecommerce storefront application that enables you to create and manage an online store. Several modules are available that add to this popular application's functionality. If you are looking to install a Miva Merchant module, read on to learn how to do it.

Difficulty: Moderate

1. Download the third-party module to your hard drive once you purchase it. Read through the "README" file or other install documentation for any special instructions for the particular module you just downloaded.
2. Open Miva Merchant and sign into your "Administration" account. Switch to "Advanced Administration" at the top right of your screen.
3. Select the arrow next to "Modules" in the lefthand corner, and then click "Add Module." Locate the icon that is next to the Module field in the right frame. This opens a window that will let you browse your hard drive. Click on the "Browse" button.
4. Browse for the downloaded module and click upload. The module will be uploaded and the window will close.
5. Install the module by clicking the "Update" button. In the screen that comes up, note the "Type of Module," which will specify the link to the page where you will to assign your module to your store.
6. Scroll down the page and locate the specified link in the left menu. Click on the link. Look in the righthand frame for the new module name. Click the empty check box that is next to it. Hit the update button.
7. Click on the module's link once the page reloads. This link will be at the top of the page. Enter the license key and click on "Update." This activates the module, and you are done.
