A fakie kickflip is a cool trick to do either on the flat or on a ramp. If you can do basic skateboarding moves like ollies or skate forward and back, then you can combine it all with a kickflip. Grab your gear and your board and get fakie kickflipping.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Skate forward on your skateboard. Have your back foot on the tail and your front foot just behind the bolts or wheels.

  2. Step 2

Bend your knees and get your weight low in preparation for the fakie kickflip. If you're doing this on a ramp, have your weight low but lean a little back as well.

  3. Step 3

Pop the board by pressing down with your back foot.

  4. Step 4

Kick the board with your front foot so it flips over. Give it a good enough kick so it does a 360 sideways in the air.

  5. Step 5

Steady the board with your feet in the air so you know it's going to land wheels down.

  6. Step 6

Land solidly on the bolts or wheels of your skateboard. Landing anywhere else can break your board.

  7. Step 7

    Roll back down the ramp.

  8. Step 8

Practice doing a fakie kickflip on the flat at first until you have the movement down. Once you can do a fakie kickflip, then attempt the move on a ramp.

  9. Step 9

Be safe and wear your safety gear.
