How to Fake a Stomach Ache to Get out of School

Most students want to pretend being sick a time or two during the school year. A stomachache is probably the easiest thing to fake and the most difficult for your parents and the school nurse to disprove. Follow these steps to fake a stomachache so that you can skip a day of school.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Fake a Stomachache at Home

Step1
Plan ahead. Don't eat much at dinner the night before and mention that your stomach feels weird. Go to bed early. To keep from getting hungry, stash food in your room ahead of time that you can eat after your parents are asleep.
Step2
Stay in bed as long as you can in the morning. When you do get up, go to the bathroom and stay there until your parents come looking for you. Tell them that your stomach is cramping. You can even tell them that you had diarrhea if you want. It isn't very likely that they will come in to make sure you aren't lying.
Step3
Eat only two or three bites of your breakfast if it your parents offer it to you. Then complain that your stomach hurts. If they haven't already, your parents will probably ask you if you want to stay home.

Step1
Mention at breakfast that you don't feel good. Just pick at your food a little bit.
Step2
Go to the nurse's office right before lunch complaining of stomach cramps and ask to lie down. When you lie down, curl up in the fetal position. Say that you are cold and ask for a blanket. Fall asleep or at least pretend to be asleep if you have enough time. If she offers lunch, decline it and try to stay in the nurse's office as long as possible. This will make you seem very believable.
Step3
Ask if they could call your parents to bring you some medicine if the nurse hasn't offered to call your parents by this time. Taking medicine that you don't really need should always be a last resort.
Step4
Agree when the nurse says you should go home but don't act too eager. It's best to let the nurse and your parents think that you going home is their idea.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't try to fake a high temperature. This is too easy to mess up and if you don't get it right, everyone will know you are faking your illness.
  • Don't say that you think you have a stomach virus or that you think you might be contagious. Just stick to the symptoms that you are having, like stomach cramps, gas or diarrhea.
