Your plain white t-shirt can do more than just keep you warm beneath a sweatshirt or look classic with a faded pair of jeans. Dress it up in a variety of ways so you'll be stylish and completely comfortable at the same time.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Pair it with dark jeans, a slim skirt or dress slacks. Complete the look with eye-catching shoes in a vibrant color and no one will think twice about your shirt.

  2. Step 2

Use it as a layer. Pair scoop-neck t-shirts with a blazer, dressy cardigan sweater or larger V-neck shirt. Wear V-neck t-shirts over neutral tank tops or long-sleeved knit shirts.

  3. Step 3

Give a longer shirt the look of a wrap by cinching it with a wide belt, long chain or thin scarf knotted in front. For a different silhouette, let the belt sit low, resting on your hips.

  4. Step 4

Accessorize with long necklaces, pearls or a bold bead choker. Tie a colorful scarf around your neck or draw the attention to your arms with a collection of metallic bangles.

  5. Step 5

Roll up the sleeves for a temporary change or alter the shirt's look permanently by adding intricate stitching, simple metal studs or rhinestones around the collar or bottom edge.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make a statement in your white t-shirt (or any shirt, for that matter) with a chic hairstyle. Take down your ponytail to add gentle curls or sweep your hair into a sleek up-do to take the look from day to night.
  • Keep your white shirts looking crisp by washing them in cold water and only with other all-white clothing.
