How to Dress Modestly
Dressing attractively doesn't mean you have to wear less and show more. A flashy look might be okay for a night at a club, but you'll get attention for the right reasons by keeping your clothing modest when heading to school, work, the mall or a family gathering.

1
Buy pants, skirts, shirts, sweaters and shorts that fit properly. Although they don't have to be baggy, be sure clothing isn't too tight, particularly in provocative areas. Try everything on before you buy since many clothing lines don't run true to size.
-
2
Cover tight shirts and skimpy tank tops with stylish button-down shirts, sweaters or jackets.
-
-
3
Wear a t-shirt or tank top beneath low-cut sweaters and shirts or tie a pretty scarf around your neck to reduce the amount of skin you show.
-
4
Combat short clothing with additional layers. Slip slim leggings or Capri pants beneath mini-skirts. Keep a slim profile and cover your midriff by adding a long t-shirt or tank top when wearing low-rise pants or crop tops.
-
5
Eliminate t-shirts and accessories with controversial or obscene messages across the front. Try not to wear stretch pants or shorts with questionable words across the backside.
-
6
Tone down accessories including jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume and hairstyle. Tattoos and multiple piercings will definitely undermine your conservative look.
-
7
Check out your outfit in a mirror before you leave the house. Test it by simulating typical motions like sitting, bending and raising your hand to be sure clothing doesn't droop, drop or lift to reveal more than you'd like.
