Brides can be elegant and regal, fun and funky or informal and comfortable. A bride should dress as she wishes and in doing so create the wedding she has dreamed of. The important things to remember are creativity, feeling good and being selfish.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Know your style. If you want to be flashy on your wedding day, go ahead and get a sexy, slinky dress or gown. For those who dream of the Cinderella wedding, dress as a Cinderella bride with lots of petticoats and frills.
Step2
Keep your body type in mind. Pear-shaped women should steer themselves to A-line or Empire dresses. Long and lean women should dress as a bride in tight-fitting, long dresses that show off their lanky limbs.
Step3
Choose at least two pairs of shoes to dress as a bride. Avoid tired feet with flip-flops, tennis shoes or ballet slippers during the reception. These are best for long dresses that will cover up funny shoes once the glamorous heels have gone bye-bye.
Step4
Dress your head to dress as a bride. Brides tend to have lots of curls or up-dos. You can add a tiara for the princess bride or a wreath of flowers to dress as a more natural bride.
Step5
Wear a veil or a combination of veils to truly dress like a bride. Brides have many choices when it comes to head gear. They can wear long, trailing intricate veils, or short, cute veils that only cover a portion of their faces.
Step6
Have a smile on your face. Brides dress up, put on makeup and get dolled up, but the most important part of her wardrobe is the smile she wears to show how happy she is to be getting married.
