Respect is earned and not given automatically. If you want to earn the respect of your peers at school, it's important to participate in your classes, involve yourself in school activities and give consideration to your friends and teachers.

Accept compliments with modesty and bestow them upon others as well. This will make you seem both gracious and kind.

Accept criticism. Earning the respect of your peers means that you might encounter challenges from those who are jealous of you.
