Kids enjoy having spending money just as much as adults. Sometimes it isn't as easy for a kid to earn money, but there are a lot of odd jobs that kids can do well. It helps teach kids responsibility and allows them appreciate how hard it is to earn money.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Teach your kids a craft, such as making bookmarks, greeting cards or holiday decorations. Neighbors, friends and family are usually thrilled to purchase something that was handmade by your kids.
Step2
Ask the neighbors if your child can mow their lawns, rake leaves, shovel snow or pick up debris. Many times, people on your street are more than happy to pay kids to do odd jobs.
Step3
Open up a lemonade stand. Especially during such activities as a parade, festival or other activities that will bring people into your neighborhood. During cooler weather, your child could sell hot cocoa and coffee.
Step4
Make money watching pets or babysitting if your a responsible, older kid. If friends, family or neighbors are going on vacation, they may need someone to feed the cat or walk the dog.
Step5
Host a garage sale. Kids can staff the sale to sell their own items and take a percentage of sales of items that belong to others.
Step6
Ask an older sibling or Mom or Dad to pay for odd jobs. An older brother may love having someone clean his room. Mom may need help with a younger sibling, or Dad may appreciate help with washing his car. There are many jobs around the house that could earn a kid some extra money.
