The most important thing to remember when you want to ace an interview with a modeling agency is that the first impression is the only impression you can count on. If you don't wow the interviewer the first time, you most likely won't get a second chance.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know the modeling agency and its brand. Modeling agencies like Ford Modeling Agency and Elite Modeling Agency have reputations in the business and work to build their brand. Watch Ford Models online at YouTube to find out how the models act and look.

  2. Step 2

Wear a fashionable outfit that accents your body. Stay away from outfits that look prudish or provocative. If you know the clients who use the modeling agency, dress in an outfit made or promoted by them.

  3. Step 3

Keep makeup simple to achieve a natural look. Modeling agencies transform their models to fit the part, so it's important for them to see your face. If you feel like you need makeup, use a light foundation to cover blemishes, a natural-tone eye shadow, mascara and a hint of blush.

  4. Step 4

Take three to five of your best photographs. If you have a portfolio, bring it. Be sure to include at least one head shot and one full-body shot.

  5. Step 5

Be confident and allow your natural personality to show. Think before you speak and be aware of how you sound when you talk. Give coherent answers without babbling.

  6. Step 6

Show the modeling agency your runway walk and be prepared to pose. You may be asked to try on a sample outfit. Practice your walk and posing before your interview.

  7. Step 7

Ask questions and don't get defensive. Many agencies request a second interview after you lose weight, change your hair or stop tanning. A second interview is the rare opportunity for a second impression.
