Teenagers and preteens are the predominate age groups in most arcades. Unruly behavior can erupt sometimes in an arcade. Breaking the rules can result in someone throwing you out and possibly banning you from ever visiting the arcade again. It is important to stay out of trouble so you can continue to enjoy the privilege of playing at the arcade. Read on to learn how to behave in an arcade.

From Quick Guide: Arcade Games Guide
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Read and obey the arcade rules. Most arcades have the rules posted in a prominent place.

  2. Step 2

Focus on the games. Nobody can bother you if you focus solely on the games.

  3. Step 3

Stay calm. If you get excited or upset, take a minute to breathe deeply and calm down.

  4. Step 4

Follow the behavior guidelines that your parents set for you at home.

  5. Step 5

Pretend that your parents are watching you. Most arcades have cameras so, in theory, your parents could be watching you. Do only things that you would want them to see.

  6. Step 6

Hang out with friends that stay out of trouble. This will lessen the temptation to misbehave.

  7. Step 7

Leave the arcade or go to another area of the arcade if you see trouble happening. Be sure to let your parents know if you leave the arcade.

Tips & Warnings
  • Ask a friend to remind you of the rules if you start to misbehave.
  • Call arcade staff, security or police if you see any illegal activity.
  • Never try to break up a fight or get involved in a fight. You could get hurt or be blamed for the fight if you get involved. It is better to walk away and notify the arcade staff or security of the problem.
