Decorative floral margaritas make a creative and original centerpiece. If you purchase them from a florist, they can be expensive. You can create your own floral margarita centerpieces with items from most craft stores. You'll need to practice and allow plenty of time to get the design the way you want it. Read on to learn how to create a decorative floral margarita.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Margarita glass
  • Wax crystals or floral foam
  • Cardboard
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors
  • Flowers
  • Faux fruit and other embellishments

Step1
Place a margarita glass upside down on a piece of cardboard. Trace around the rim onto the cardboard. Cut the cardboard to fit the top of the glass.
Step2
Pour floral foam powder or cubes or wax crystals into the margarita glass. Use a color that matches the flavor of the margarita--green for a regular margarita, pink for a strawberry. Hot glue the cardboard to the top of the glass.
Step3
Choose flowers and embellishments. Pick flowers that match the type of margarita. For strawberry margaritas, use pink lilies, roses and carnations. For a frothy look, use white cushion poms. Add some greens or colored roses on top.
Step4
Glue half of a floral foam or Styrofoam ball to the top of the cardboard with the flat side down. Glue or wire the flowers to the Styrofoam. Make sure the whole surface is covered.
Step5
Add embellishments like a large straw and some faux fruit. Use lime slices, apples or strawberries, depending on the flavor of the margarita.
