How to Become a Jehovah's Witness

Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian group who adhere to first century Christianity while shunning corruption in the faith over the years. Best known for "The Watchtower" magazine and early morning visits to your front door, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that there's room for just 144,000 souls in heaven. If this interests you, read on to learn how to become a Jehovah's Witness.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the door when the Jehovah's Witnesses (JW) come to call. Be friendly, interested and enthusiastic. Accept the literature and promise to read it.

    • 2

Invite the JW in when they return. Make sure that everyone is comfortable. Put on a pot of coffee. Discuss the literature at length and invite the JW for another visit.

    • 3

Agree to host a Bible study. Study "Watchtower" publications. Devote two to three hours each week studying chapters of Let God Be True. Become known in the organization as a Bible student.

    • 4

Get invited to the neighborhood book study and introduced to other JW members. Experience a broader group of like-minded individuals. Accept encouragement to study more.

    • 5

Accept an invitation to visit Kingdom Hall on Sunday. Listen attentively to the lectures. Attend ministry school and service meetings to receive advanced training in the Scriptures.

    • 6

Train to be a witness for Jehovah and how to answer objections from non-believers. Be baptized as a JW by being immersed in water.

    • 7

Agree to accept all direction given by the organization. Start knocking on doors and witnessing for Jehovah. Lead others to salvation.

Tips & Warnings

  • Baptism doesn't guarantee a space among the 144,00 who are going to heaven.

I really want to study but have no idea where to start. Becoming a JW is something I have wanted for a long time but I need guidance. Please could someone get in touch and give me an idea of where to start? Thanks

the great crowd who inherit God's Kingdom that will come to earth is a wonderful promise from the Bible the heart motivates one to really look into the scriptures and search for truth. The bible is a gift of promises for a world that is a mess asking Jehovahs witness's to show you bible promises from your own bible or the New Worlds translation is what motivates anyone to change and want to dedicate thier life to the true God and share the good news. It took me 3 years of asking questions, struggling to change and apply the truth in the bible before I got baptised as one. force was not in the equation - being imperfekt everyone goes at thier own pace- we are all works in progress and holy spirit with our heart condition being open can do wonders

i,m glad when people try to ridicule us because Jesus went through the same and so the true religion today. we do not fellow doctrines, but we made the truth our own by studying the bible and making sure that whatever we fellow is nothing but the truth. personal study and prayer is encourage here.you need to be very humble and deep love in order to be a JW.Because it involves a lot. you need to invest in a lot of effort to earn a university degree. to gain everlasting life you need much effort to gain the accurate knoweldge of Jehovah.is not just every sunday attendance in church.
