Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take care of your pets. One of the first steps of being an animal lover is to make sure that your own pets are happy and healthy. Provide your pets with healthy food, clean water and playtime. Also, keep regular vet appointments.

  2. Step 2

Treat all animals with kindness and respect. If you are an animal lover, then you'll respect all animals that cross your path.

  3. Step 3

Think of animals as humans. By humanizing an animal, you learn to take their feelings into consideration when caring for them.

  4. Step 4

Pick an animal charity to support. To show your animal love, you should donate to or volunteer for an animal charity. Popular animal charities include PETA, the Humane Society and the Wildlife Conservation Society.

  5. Step 5

Stop eating meat. Animal lovers often decide to eat only vegetarian food choices. They believe it's wrong to eat meat when plant sources can provide you with the nutrition required by the human body.

Tips & Warnings
  • An animal lover is completely different from a zoophiliac. Zoophiliacs have a sexual attraction towards animals, not love.
  • Many people share the same strong love for animals. There is even a dating website for animal lovers called Date My Pet.
