1. Buy the correct game. There are several football games so it's important to buy the right one. Go to your local video game store and request Madden 07 for whichever format you're playing.

2. Watch instructional videos. To become familiar with the game, make sure to watch the tutorials before playing Madden 07. You really need to watch each video twice in order to memorize the controls.

3. Hone your skills in the mini games. This will allow you to run the ball, rush the quarterback and punt the ball. The mini games allow you to gain confidence in your ability to quickly master the controller.

4. Run actual plays in practice until you know the individual plays for each player. You can choose from several game packages and many play calls within each. By running actual plays you'll become familiar with the packages.

5. Play exhibition games against the computer until you win. There are several levels that you must master. After each win, increase the difficulty until you are playing All-Madden. You start as a rookie, progress to Pro, then move up to All-Pro. You know you rock when you reach the All-Madden level.
